  • The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte

Assembled at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown, Delivered to The Center for Hope, 534 Spratt St

The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte’s motto is: Wherever there is a need in Mecklenburg and Union Counties, you'll find The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte! Since 1904, the Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte has been serving these two counties in North Carolina. It is part of The Salvation Army worldwide, which was begun in London in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth to meet human needs without discrimination. Since its opening, The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte has been helping its community by providing services for the homeless, for those addicted to substances, for kids in afterschool programs, and for its neighbors during times of disaster.

We will assemble 125 Snack Packs, which will be provided to The Center for Hope. The Center for Hope is an emergency shelter for women and children. • Cookie Crew

    1613 E Morehead St

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte (RMHCLT) opened its doors in 2011 after the Levine Children’s Hospital was built and the nearby Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital was expanded. Both facilities created a need for a facility that could support families with seriously ill children who were seeking care at these hospitals. As with all Ronald McDonald House Charities, families with children who are injured, ill, and under treatment at area hospitals are welcome to stay at the House for free, which is reflective of RMHCLT’s mission to care for families with children who are ill and to provide support services to those families.

Volunteers will help bake 6-7 dozen cookies or sweet treats for guests of the House. These baked treats, besides being delicious, will bring a touch of warmth and sweetness to the guests’ day!

Available dates & times to volunteer:

    Saturday, February 15th, 1:00-3:00 PM

    No experience baking is required.

There is a maximum of 6 volunteers for this project. Volunteers must be minimum age 16 at the time of volunteering.
