This is a great question! While DoGood’s mailing address is in Stamford, Connecticut (Theo’s hometown), our leadership team comes from all over the U.S. And, you’ll find DoGood service projects all over the U.S. as well - basically anywhere a NAC or SJCC is being held. -
For Volunteers
How can I volunteer with DoGood?

Anyone in the fencing community is welcome to volunteer with us, whether you’re a fencer, a parent, a sibling, a coach, a tournament official or support staff! Can students earn service hours for school?
Definitely! We’re happy to provide a certificate verifying the number of hours you’ve volunteered on any particular project.Do participants need to complete a waiver to volunteer with DoGood?
Yes. All individuals - whether you are a fencer, a parent, or anyone in the fencing community - who want to volunteer at service project organized by DoGood must complete a liability waiver. This waiver is completed at the time you create an account on the registration platform. In some cases, the organizations we partner with may require their own Liability Waiver.Do participants need permission from a parent or guardian?
Yes. Individuals under 18 must have a signed parental/guardian consent form to volunteer at any DoGood project. This consent is required to be completed when you create an account. In some cases, the organizations we partner with may also require a Minor Release.Who supervises the youth when they volunteer?
We try to organize volunteer projects that don’t require adult supervision - part of our goal to making volunteering as accessible as possible for fencers. If parents are not comfortable with their fencer volunteering on their own, they should volunteer with their fencer. In additon, if adult supervision is required, parents will need to volunteer with their fencer. While we try to send a parent from the DoGood team to most volunteer projects, sometimes our schedule does not allow this to happen. -
