RYAN KATZ
Head of Communications
Ryan’s reputation for bold moves in the name of a good cause? Legendary. Just ask anyone who’s seen him show up at a spring tournament freshly bald - because yes, he's the guy who shaves his head to raise money and awareness for cancer research. (His hair always grows back. So does his commitment.)
When he’s not regrowing his signature mop of unruly curls, Ryan is all about spreading the DoGood mission far and wide. He’s in charge of keeping fencers and their families in the loop about how to get involved - especially at national events like NACs. If there's a chance to volunteer, donate, or partner up, Ryan's the one making it happen.
He also leads our effort to connect with fencing clubs in every NAC host city, helping build a nationwide (and growing!) network of DoGood partner clubs that care about community as much as competition.
Ryan is a saber fencer at Stamford Fencing Club, where he trains with Coaches Alex and Alan Fotiyev. With his heart for service and a fearless streak a mile wide, Ryan proves that doing good can be both powerful and personal - and sometimes, even a little hair-raising.
