MAIA CHAMBERLAIN, OLY

Maia first picked up a saber at age nine, inspired by the swashbuckling adventures of Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean. What began as childhood curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong passion - one that has carried her from local clubs to collegiate glory, national championships, Pan-American triumphs, and a place on the 2024 Paris Olympic team.

Off the strip, Maia studied at Princeton’s School of Architecture, where she fell in love with design as a way to shape communities and create meaningful spaces. That same philosophy of bringing creativity and purpose together guides her approach as both an athlete and a coach.

Maia is thrilled to bring that spirit to DoGood’s Board of Directors. She knows firsthand how easy it is for young fencers to travel the country for tournaments and miss the chance to truly connect with the communities they visit. She wishes a program like DoGood had been around in her early days, turning the long hours between bouts into meaningful opportunities for service, friendship, and growth.

With her trademark energy and optimism, Maia is passionate about helping the next generation of athletes not only chase medals, but also discover the joy of giving back and becoming compassionate, community-minded leaders - and in the process, leaving just as much of a mark off the strip as they do on it.
