Jia Sengupta is a saber fencer at Halberstadt Fencers' Club in San Francisco, California, and a ninth grader who brings focus, creativity, and a strong commitment to service into everything she does.

She is a Life Scout with Troop 343, where she also serves as an instructor, and she stays actively engaged in her community through both her troop and the Lasallian Vincentian Youth group at school. Jia is always ready to step in and help - whether she’s supporting service projects, mentoring others, or finding new ways to contribute.

At DoGood, she brings that same energy and purpose to every experience, helping support the organization, the communities we visit, and the broader fencing world.

Outside of fencing and service, Jia loves to build and create. She works behind the scenes with her school’s stage crew designing and building sets, and she also contributes to Sea Scouts, where she helps repair and construct boats.
