Farhan Ali

For me, volunteering is about more than just recognition - it’s about building empathy, fostering connections, and giving back. Both fencing and service have shown me the value of discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
— Farhan Ali

Farhan is currently a junior at Langley High School in McLean, Virginia. His fencing journey began at the age of six in Virginia, where he quickly discovered his passion for épée - a weapon that matches his patience, focus, and competitive spirit. Growing up in an environment where fencing thrives instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and resilience, qualities that continue to guide him both on and off the strip.

Beyond competing, Farhan is passionate about giving back to the fencing community whenever he can. He often volunteers at North American Cups (NACs) and other events, always eager to support the sport that has helped shaped him.

Fencing has taught him perseverance, strategy, and composure under pressure - skills that have carried over into his dedication to community service. That same commitment to helping others also led him to get involved with DoGood.

He is honored to be recognized as a Service Leader and look forward to continuing to serve, both in the fencing world and in the world-wide community.
