COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING
This team develops press kits and pitches stories to local news outlets ahead of each NAC or special volunteer opportunity. They also build relationships with club leaders and reporters alike, finding new ways to share DoGood’s story with a wider audience.
From writing press releases to developing marketing campaigns to coordinating with the Head of Social Media, the Communications & Marketing team ensures that when something amazing happens (and it often does), people hear about it - and get inspired to be part of it.
This role can be thought of as the typical “public relations” role in an organization. The successful candidate will be organized, have strong writing skills, and be bold. In this role, you will:
Develop Press Kits to be sent to local news organizations ahead of a NAC
Develop leads at the local news desks
Develop Press Kits for any other newsworthy event
Communicate with local clubs to promote partnerships ahead of a NAC
Work in tandem with the Head of Social Media as needed
Keep avenues of communication open with USA Fencing’s Director of Communications, relaying any important info that USA Fencing may be interested in
Develop marketing campaigns, including print material and brand logos, for special projects, such as fencing demos or camps
If DoGood had a press room, the Communications & Marketing team would be running it. They’re our voice to the outside world - driving media outreach, building connections with local clubs and USA Fencing, and making sure our story gets heard.
From bold marketing campaigns to print materials, logos, and digital content, they shape how DoGood shows up - clearly, consistently, and with energy.
