Prepare To-Go Snack Bags for Guests of Ronald McDonald House Charities Richmond
Greater Richmond Convention Center (403 N 3rd St)
Families staying at the House sometimes don’t have time to sit down and eat a proper meal. Oftentimes, parents and caregivers are too busy being bedside with their child to take a meal break. That’s where snack bags come in: snack bags are a lifeline for families who often don't have enough time or resources for a proper meal. It allows them to focus on caring for their child, and makes their lives that much easier.
RMHC Richmond has seen a significant increase in need for snack bags. They currently go through about 250 grab and go bags per week and demand continues to grow.
Volunteers will help assemble and pack 150 snack bags. We will provide all the components of the snack bags.
Available dates & times to volunteer:
Sunday, April 26th, 1-2:30 pm
Maximum number of volunteers:
There is a maximum of 15 volunteers for this project.
Getting there:
We will meet at the check-in desk of the Convention Center and look for a quiet place to assemble the snack bags.
